The Static Era Begins (Whether I’m Ready or Not)

Welcome back to Daily RodGuns, where I overshare on the internet and somehow call it a blog. If you’re here, congratulations, you’ve voluntarily entered my chaos.

This week has been… a lot.
Illusions & Static is finally out, which means the Static Era has officially begun. I don’t know how to feel. Proud? tired? emotionally melted like a candle left in the sun? Probably all of the above.

It still feels weird knowing these songs aren’t just mine anymore. They’re out there, doing whatever songs do when they leave the nest… traumatizing strangers, helping people process emotions… I don't know…

Digitally Lost — The Song With Three Lives

Okay, let’s talk about Digitally Lost because this song has had a journey.

Most people think I just sat down one day and wrote the version that’s out now.
Absolutely not.

There are actually three versions of this song:

Version One — About my dad.
Yeah… that one was heavy. It existed, it was raw, and maybe one day I’ll finish it properly. But for this project, it didn’t fit.

Version Two — About the recent situation.
This one was closer, but every time I listened to it, something felt off. It was emotional, but dull, like it was missing the spark or the punch I needed.

Version Three — The one you all hear now.
This is the final form. The version I felt in my bones.
The version that actually captured what was going on inside my head, not what I thought I should write.

So yeah… Digitally Lost has lived three different lives.
And the one I released is the one that finally felt like me.

Behind the Static — Coming Soon

I’m starting a new series called Behind the Static, where I break down the songs, the visuals, the meaning, and all the messy behind-the-scenes chaos that built this era.

Basically, it’s me opening the vault of my brain and letting everyone peek inside.
Is that healthy? Probably not.
Am I doing it anyway? Absolutely.

The Website Got a Makeover

The website finally looks how I want it to.
New header, new visuals, new energy.
Very glitchy, very chaotic, very “I’m holding it together with tape and caffeine.”

RodGunx Vault Access is opening soon, too.
Unreleased songs. Early access. Extra content.
Basically, the stuff I would normally keep hidden in a digital basement.

What’s Next?

Lyric videos. Promos. More visuals.
Finishing STATIC before February turns into a personal horror movie.
Trying to sleep at some point? Maybe.

Anyway, that’s today’s blog.
Short, chaotic, and honest… Just how I like it.
